…if the request is coming from a health nut – Id say marijuana.
The other day at our neighborhood grocers, I stumbled upon some hemp hearts. Hemp is good for us — cooked a little further and it’s a whole other story, probably an NYPD one.
Hemp refined just so, can be sprinkled onto our cereal in the morning. I’m not suggesting directly from the ashtray here, I’m meaning heart of the hemp or hemp hearts found at our shady local grocers. The one who’s store is under the large oak tree. High in fibre and nutty goodness – the hemp—not the grocer.
Here is a really good recipe to pack for the kids lunch. But be careful, wouldn’t want your six year old handing you a list of clients to cook for.
3 TBSP butter
1/3 c. margarine
¾ c. brown sugar ( use elbow grease to pack down)
2 TBSP molasses
1 tsp ea. ginger/nutmeg/cinnamon
1 tsp. sea salt (from the nearest sea)
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. baking powder
2 ½ c. flour
Here it is –1/3 c. hemp hearts
1 c. raisins
1 c. chocolate chips, actually no limit here
Mix. Refrgerate 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for fifteen minutes. Relax. In this order.
